Aixois has a reputation for crafting dishes that reflect the rich culinary heritage of France. Patrons rave about the standout entrees, particularly the blackened swordfish that has garnered praise for its flavor and finesse. The charcuterie board is a joyous start to any meal—a delightful medley that pairs perfectly with their expertly brewed coffee. And let’s not forget the must-try specialties like the Croque Madame and luscious croissants, which have become favorites for many regulars. The aromatic espresso served here complements every dish with precision.
However, the experience at Aixois can vary, as noted by a few diners who encountered slower service on busy nights. While some have expressed their desire for improved attentiveness, the flavorful cuisine keeps bringing them back. The overall consensus remains that Aixois is a fantastic destination for anyone craving an authentic taste of French culture.
With a commitment to quality and a cozy atmosphere, Aixois is one of those rare places where food is not just a meal but an experience to be savored. So, whether you’re celebrating a birthday or simply enjoying a casual dinner, Aixois invites you to indulge in the art of French dining, one delectable dish at a time.
“ My wife and I were out shopping, and we wanted some dinner. We decided to try something new and she offered me 3 suggestions. I picked Aixois, and we drove from independence. The area seemed busy, but we were lucky there was 1 spot available for parking right in front of the restaurant. We walked in, and the hostess asked if we wanted seated outside, inside, or the bar. We asked to sit inside and were escorted to the far back corner. The restaurant was maybe at 25% capacity for a Tuesday night. We arrived around 8 pm. Our server greeted us, Paul was friendly and asked if it was a special occasion. I replied that the occasion was that I was hungry. Paul helped us pick our meals as we'd never been here before. I got up to check out the restaurant as we waited for our meal. Paul directed me to the front where there was a really awesome room that was reserved for overflow when busy or reserved for occasions. I was still looking at all the cool stuff when Paul was standing with our food, so we hurried back to our table. The food looked marvelous! The French bread was pretty much the same as the bread I had in Paris. The burger was pretty identical to a burger I had in Paris, and the fries definitely reminded me of the fries I had in Paris. I was very impressed with Aixois. I definitely recommend stopping by. ”
“ We came here for my birthday dinner and had a reservation. While the atmosphere and food were great, the service wasn’t. It was super slow and just not attentive. She barely came to our table and took forever to bring the check. They made my friend’s burger medium rare when she wanted it medium well. I want to come back but really hope the service is better next time. Also get there early to find parking if you’re going on a weekend. ”
“ What a lovely restaurant! We met our friends here for a light dinner before going to a show at Starlight. We started with a charcuterie, which was delightful, except none of us eat liver, so the pate went to waste. My wife had the mussels. She didn’t love them. I had the blackened swordfish special, which was excellent. Truly. It came with rice and broccolini. Our friends, who are regulars, enjoyed the chicken dish on the menu and the tuna special very much. The waiter suggested a few wines for us and all of them were excellent. The service was a little bit slower than we had hoped. But we were still able to get to our show on time. The place was packed so that was understandable. We would like to return for a leisurely lunch or dinner. ”
“ We love this place!!! Good food, great coffee and great service!!! This is one of our favorite French restaurants!!! You need to try their Croque Madame and their Espresso Machiatto and their Croissants!!!! ”
“ Aixois French Bistro: Where Every Bite is a Masterpiece Stepping into Aixois French Bistro is less like entering a restaurant and more like being enveloped in the genuine, friendly warmth of a cherished family home. The atmosphere is immediately inviting, buzzing with easy chatter and a palpable sense of community—a truly delightful escape from the day-to-day. Our morning began with the legendary E-Breakfast, a dish that elevates brunch from a simple meal to an act of culinary poetry. The smoked salmon, silken and subtly salty, played a magnificent counterpoint to the rich, creamy avocado. But the true genius lay in the egg: cooked impeccably over medium, its golden yolk flowed out with luxurious ease, binding the ingredients together in a flawless harmony. Served alongside this composition were the potatoes, and here is where Aixois demonstrates its mastery of the details: the accompanying shoestring fries are nothing short of architectural perfection. Crispy, golden, and impossibly thin, each slender strand shatters with a satisfying crunch, making them perhaps the most perfect pommes frites I have encountered. They were seasoned flawlessly, providing a salty, savory anchor to the richness of the plate. To conclude, we drifted toward the unexpected: the prickly pear sorbet with fresh berries. This was a revelation—light, beautifully refreshing, and carrying a delicate sweetness that cleansed the palate without weighing it down. It was sunshine in a bowl. Capping off this perfect feast was the sophisticated pairing of a Non-alcoholic wine. This thoughtful touch provided the perfect effervescent finish, proving that a sublime dining experience requires attention to detail at every step, from the first bite of salmon to the final, celebratory sip. Aixois doesn't just serve food; it serves perfection. ”
